In this immersive program, attendees journey through a series of workshops with the same cohort of CPA peers. Participants dive deep into what it takes to lead effectively in public accounting, deliver their best value and drive future success for the whole firm.

Attendees will pave the way for more challenging client work, leadership roles and career growth, and come away with the confidence and skills needed to be successful, capable leaders.

Major subjects

  • Workshop 1 – Leadership Foundations
    Leadership in a professional service firm; building a strong personal foundation; your unique qualities and how they impact your leadership approach; creating your leadership development plan. (8 CPE)
  • Workshop 2 – How to Lead Well in All Directions
    Leading yourself; leadership challenges; work-life tensions; leading across, down and up; emotional intelligence; 360-degree feedback. (8 CPE)
  • Workshop 3 – Essential Leadership Skills
    Coaching skills; the anatomy of a coaching session; communication and difficult conversations; effective delegation; engaging and productive meetings; leading in a remote or hybrid environment. (8 CPE)
  • Workshop 4 – The Innovative and Strategic Leader
    Strategic thinking and innovation skills; building high-performance teams; adaptive and situational leadership; leading change; closing session with sponsoring partners. (8 CPE)
  • Personalized Training Session
    50-minute Zoom session with instructor to review your leadership development plan progress and develop next steps unique to your leadership journey. (1 CPE)

Who should take this program?

  • Ideal candidates are CPAs in public practice, ages 25-35, with at least three years of professional experience, between the senior/manager level or on that track for advancement.
