What are my attendance options?

MBAC25 is a three-day conference featuring one in-person day and two virtual days. 

  • June 23 | In-person only | Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center - space is limited!
  • July 24-25 | Virtual only

Select the appropriate registration type during the checkout process: 

  • Hybrid - All Days (June 23 in person, June 24-25 virtual)
  • In-Person - 1st Day Only (June 23)

What's the time zone for the conference?
All times noted are Central time.

What is included on day 1, June 23?  

This is an in-person only day; there is no virtual option. Attendees have access to an optional bonus session, refreshments, breakfast, lunch, happy hour and other opportunities to interact and engage with attendees, sponsors and speakers.

What do I need to know about the in-person venue?
The first day of the conference, June 23, is in-person only (no virtual option) at the Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center.

What technology do I need?

For the in-person portion of the conference (June 23):

  • Bring your laptop if you are attending session B3-C3. Hands-on Boot Camp: ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Have your mobile device handy if you wish to participate in any of the fun activities which may use QR codes.
  • No technology is required for attendance tracking.

For the virtual portion of the conference (June 24-25):

  • Participate via your laptop/desktop computer for an optimal experience.
  • Test your system before the event: https://events.mncpa.org/system_check
  • Use the latest version of Chrome. While other browsers may work, the BigMarker platform is optimized for Chrome.

How can I ensure a smooth experience?

  • In person (June 23): Arrive between 6:30-6:45 a.m. for the bonus session or between 7:30-7:45 a.m. for the main conference to give yourself enough time to park, check in, grab breakfast and find your first session.
  • Virtual (June 24-25): Watch for pre-event emails closer to event and follow all instructions regarding how to access virtual sessions.
  • Prefer hard copies of materials? Download the materials and print them before the conference begins. Materials are available electronically only. Access them via your MNCPA account or within the conference platform.

CONFERENCE MATERIALS

How do I access my conference materials?
Most sessions have materials available for download. You can access the PDFs via the MNCPA website three business days before the event and two weeks after, or via the conference platform during the event. Your registration fee must be paid in full to access the materials on the MNCPA website.


To access materials from the MNCPA website:

  • Go to the My CPE materials page and log in with your username and password.
  • Under the MBAC event, click the link to the session materials you want to access.


Are paper handouts available? 
No, materials are available electronically only. 

FEES AND REGISTRATION

Is there a one or two-day registration option? 
Yes, MBAC25 registration options include: 

  • Hybrid - All Days (June 23 in person, June 24-25 virtual)
  • In-Person - 1st Day Only (June 23)
  • Virtual - 2nd & 3rd Days Only (June 24-25)


Can I register for a single session?

No. A la carte registration is not available for this event.


Can I split a multiple-day registration with a friend?
No. Each person who attends the conference must be registered individually to ensure continuing education credits are awarded appropriately.


Can I switch my registration from hybrid to virtual only, or vice versa?
Yes, you can switch your registration. Please call the MNCPA at 952-831-2707 for assistance.


I'm already registered, but still need to pick sessions. How do I do this?
Session registration is required to receive continuing education credits for the sessions you attend. You may select or update your session selections through June 25.

To pick your sessions:

  • Go to your CPE schedule. Log in with your username and password.
  • Click on the "Sessions" link listed under the MBAC event.
  • Click the "Add/Remove Sessions" button (above the "List of Your Sessions" heading).
  • Use the check boxes to make your session selections.
  • Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page to complete the session selection process.


I'm not sure which sessions I want to attend. Can I submit my conference registration now and choose sessions later?
Yes, you can, but it's important that we receive your session selections to ensure your continuing education credits are awarded correctly. Please select your sessions as soon as possible. 


What if I need to cancel my registration?

  • Cancellation: Receive a full refund if you cancel your registration by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Cancellations must be received at least four (4) business days prior to an event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued if you cancel within three (3) business days of the event and no CPE credit will be earned. Cancel online or call 952-831-2707. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
  • Substitution: Rather than cancel your registration, you do have the option to send a substitute. You will not incur any cancellation/transfer fees if you send a substitute, even if the substitution is made within three (3) days of the event. To make a substitution, call 952-831-2707. Note: Additional fees may apply if the original registrant is an MNCPA member and the substitute registrant is a nonmember. The difference in fees will be charged to the substitute registrant.


What is the deadline to receive the VIP members-only fee?
Your registration and payment must be received by Friday, May 23, 2025, to qualify for the VIP members-only fee. This fee is for MNCPA members only.

What is the deadline to receive the early bird registration fee?
Your registration must be received by Friday, June 6, 2025, to qualify for the early bird registration fee.


What other discounts are available?

  • MNCPA members receive a discounted rate. You can join today to receive the discount on this event and other MNCPA CPE programs.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

How many CPE credits can I earn at the Management & Business Advisers Conference?
The conference qualifies for up to 24 CPE credits if you attend all three days. You can also earn 1 additional CPE credit if you attend the bonus session on the first day, June 23. See the credits page for more information, including details about ethics credits.

How is my attendance tracked?
In compliance with CPE standards, your participation will be tracked.

For the in-person portion of the conference:

  • Attend tracking information will be shared at the event.

For the virtual portion of the conference:

  • Your attendance will be tracked using random attendance checks during each session.
  • A chime will play and a pop-up will appear for each attendance check. You must click on the pop-up to verify your attendance.


How do I ensure I receive CPE credits?

  • Register for sessions ahead of the conference. 
  • Attend the sessions you registered for.
  • In-person: Follow the attendance tracking instructions provided at the event. 
  • Virtual: Click on all attendance checks.


How do I ensure I receive ethics credits?

  • Register for ethics sessions
  • Attend the sessions you registered for.

Is CLE credit offered in 2025?
No, there is no CLE credit offered at MBAC25. 


When will my certificate of attendance be ready?
Your MBAC25 CPE transcripts (certificates of attendance) will be available in mid-July. We will email you once this is available online.
