Stacy
Shaw
Chair
Stacy Shaw is a supervisor with Boyum & Barenscheer PLLP in
Bloomington. She works in the emerging business department assisting small
businesses with their consulting, strategy and tax needs. Stacy loves working
with both seasoned and start up businesses.
Stacy completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota –
Carlson School of Management and her MBA at Metropolitan State University
through the MBA for CPA’s program. She is also a current member of the MNCPA
Leadership Cabinet. Prior to becoming a Leadership Committee member, Stacy was a
Young Professionals Group Captain.
Stacy grew up in a small town in Iowa. She and her husband, Nathan live in
Farmington. Stacy enjoys golf, water sports, downhill skiing, reading and
spending time with family and friends.

Keri J. Wiskow
Past Chair
Keri has been involved with the MNCPA since 2002. She started in the YPG
Captain Program, then joined the YPG Leadership Committee and held the chair
position for 3 years.
In December 2006, Keri accepted an Assistant Controller position with Cannon
Technologies, part of the Energy Automation Solutions group of Cooper Power
Systems, located in Plymouth. Before moving her career to corporate accounting,
Keri was an auditor with Boulay, Heutmaker, Zibell & Co. for 5 years. Keri has a
Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of
Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
During football season, Keri volunteers for the Vikings Children Fund on the
plaza before each home game. She lives in Shakopee with her boyfriend, Jason,
and their two dogs, Maverick and Casey.

Jody McDonald
Jody spent six years in public accounting specializing in
providing auditing, tax, and consulting services to privately held companies and
family-owned businesses. She is currently a tax analyst for Imation
Corporation in Oakdale Minnesota.
Jody has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. A Wisconsin native, Jody still lives in "Packer Country", where she and her husband built the log home of their dreams.
Outside of work, Jody enjoys working around the house and watching Sunday football games (especially the Packers versus the Vikings). She is also a member of the AICPA and a local volunteer for the Jaycees organization.
Jody got involved with the Young Professionals Group as a
Young Professionals Group Captain in 2003. She scored big when she took home the grand prize, a $1,000 travel certificate she used toward her honeymoon cruise last year.

Nick
Fitzgerald
Nick is a Senior Accountant with Wipfli LLP in Edina.
For the past five years, his work has been primarily tax focused. Nick earned a
Masters of Business Taxation (MBT) degree from the Carlson School of Management
at the University of Minnesota. At the onset of his career, Nick prepared and
reviewed a variety of clients. Over the past five years, he steadily increased
his industry focus on auto dealerships which now makes up over 75% of his
workload. He spends half his time on tax and the other half on accounting
and auditing.
Nick spent the first three years of college at North Dakota State University in
Fargo. Ultimately, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Carlson School of
Management at the University of Minnesota.
Nick became involved with the YPG as a YPG Captain in late
2005. Nick was the 3rd place Captain in 2006 before he passed on the reigns to a
fellow Wipfli MNCPA member and joined the YPG Leadership Committee.
Nick and his wife Amanda live in Maple Grove with their labradoodle, Dougal.
They both grew up in the small town of Oakes, North Dakota. Amanda is a
chiropractor with Northwestern Health Sciences University and practices at a
satellite clinic in Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury. They enjoy traveling,
reading, watching too much television, and going to a lot of movies.

Joel
Germershausen
Joel Germershausen is a CPA
and tax manager in the Eide Bailly LLP Minneapolis office. He has over
seven years of experience in public accounting and one year experience in
corporate accounting. While working in the corporate sector, Joel found that he
missed those late nights during tax season, so he re-joined the public
accounting sector in 2005. He provides tax preparation services to clients in a
variety of industries, focusing on clients in the services and manufacturing
industries.
Joel received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the
University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Currently, he is part of Eide Bailly’s
college recruiting team. He and several other team members have a focus on
recruiting students from University of Northern Iowa. Once a UNI student is
hired as a staff member, Joel works with them to acclimate them to Eide Bailly
and the accounting profession.
Joel and his wife Tiffany live in St. Paul with their dog, four cats, and a
stray cat who has newly-claimed them as his own. Three gerbils and a rabbit also
call the Germershausen house their home.

Kari Kraus
Kari Kraus is a senior accountant with
Thrivent Financial in Minneapolis. She works in the Mutual Fund Tax accounting
department and enjoys researching tax aspects particular to Subchapter M and
learning about the securities industry. She is also involved with Accountability
MN to provide pro bono accounting and tax assistance.
Previously, Kari worked in the tax department of Grant Thornton, LLP.
Kari is a graduate of the University of Minnesota's Carlson school of management
and the college of liberal arts. Prior to becoming a Leadership Committee
member, Kari was a Young Professionals Group Captain.
Kari lives in downtown Minneapolis and enjoys running, spending time at the new
Guthrie, attempting to keep up with her Spanish, and travelling. She recently
returned from a 12 day cruise to the Mediterranean and from a trip to Ireland in
the fall.

Katie Imholte
Katie is a recruiting manager with
SALO, LLC working in the Search Division where she is able to take advantage of
her natural strengths in communications. Prior to life as a recruiter, she was
an audit senior for Boulay, Heutmaker, Zibell and Co where she was heavily
involved in recruiting, interviewing, training, and mentoring in addition to her
audit work. Katie provided assurance services in a variety of industries for
both public and private clients.
Katie graduated from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in
accounting in 2005. She has been an active member of the YPG ever since she
started her career in public accounting beginning as an YPG Captain in late
2005. She was the 1st place Captain in 2006.
Katie lives in a condo in St Louis Park where spends little time. She would
rather be competing in triathlons, attending weddings, traveling or networking.
